Living single cell organisms Eg. Bacteria, viruses, fungi and protozoa
What is Protozoa and what does it cause?
Single cell organism without a cell wall and causes malaria

Microorganisms that are not capable of movement

Grape like clusters

Has cell wall and no nucleus, single molecule of DNA

Has cell membrane, no cell wall and has nucleus
What is a commensals organism?
Host is not harmed, bacteria benefits from host environment
What is normal flora?
Organisms live on body, not causing disease
What is a pathogen?
Parasites causing diseases
What is mutualism?
Mico-organism and host benefiting from living together

Smaller than bacteria
What is a prion?
Resistant to disinfectants, heat and antibiotics
