Anitdepressant education

A
  • avoid alcohol use an illicit substances as they can interact with meds
  • if you miss a dose, don’t double up on next does
  • don’t suddenly stop drugs b/c you may experience withdrawal symptoms
  • avoid alertness activities at first
  • check with prescriber before taking any OTC meds
  • be alert for signs of depression and suicide
  • keep appointments for follow-up care and lab testing that’s scheduled
  • be aware of support groups
  • take meds exactly as prescribed
