From Resistant to Neutral
- Emphasize the importance of changing now
- Assemble the core team
- Communicate clear vision
Moving from Neutral to Welcoming
- Communicate (there is never too much communication)
- Empower stakeholders to act
- Ensure stakeholders experience short-term wins
Moving from Welcoming to Maintaining
- Sustain progress
- Embed new practices into the organization
Cascading approach
Top-down approach in which change happens at the most senior levels of the organization and those changes prompt other changes down to the business units
Progressive approach
Change starts at the top, but is shared simultaneously, with the whole company. Slowly, changes are made across all business units
Organic approach
Change can start at any level and eventually spreads throughout the organization. It’s a slow process, unless there’s executive sponsorship that accelerates the change throughout the organization
