the extent to which the living environment matches with the conditions and needs of its users (residents)
What is objective liveability?
The tangible/measurable qualities of a place that contribute to the quality of life experienced by its users
What is subjective liveability?
The social/emotional/intangible qualities of a place as perceived by its users
What factors may cause differences in liveability?
The life course effect (life stage/age)
Generation effects (time period)
Spatio-cultural differences (urban vs. rural, individual vs. collective, etc.)
The way of measuring
The kind of liveability (simply survive, extend life, extend life and live happy)
