lessons learned 8-31 Flashcards
A technique of the manage quality process whereby a person follows certain technical guidelines that may be applied during the design of a product for the optimization of a specific aspect of the design.
Design for X
The process of auditing quality requirements and the results from quality control measurements to ensure appropriate quality standards and operational definitions are used
Manage Quality
Quality control measurements are an input to what process?
Manage Quality. They are used to analyze and evaluate the quality of the processes and deliverables. Quality control measurements are project documents.
What do the letters in RACI stand for?
Responsible, accountable, consult and inform. It defines the involvement of stakeholders in project activities.
What type of document is a RACI chart
A RAM (Responsibility assignment matrix)
The process of identifying quality requirements and/or standards for the project and its deliverables, and documenting how the project will demonstrate complianance
Plan Quality Management
This takes an iterative and incremental approach to quality management which can reduce the variations in a process, thus improving quality and reducing waste.
The Deming Cycle (Plan, do, check, act)
In a network diagram, when one activity has two or more successors and splits into different paths
Divergence
In a network diagram when one activity requires two or more predecessor activities on a different paths to be done before commencing.
Convergence
This compares the amount of contigency reserves remaining to the amount of risk remaining at any time in the project in order to determine if the remaining reserve is adequate. This may be communicated using various graphical representations including a burndown chart
Reserve analysis
A project document used to record all assumptions and constraints throughout the project life cycle. An ouput of the Develop project charter process
Assumption log
A narrative description of products, services, or results to be delivered by the project
Statement of Work (SOW)
When should a kick-off meeting take place for a small project?
Shortly after Initiation. In the begining of the Planning Process Group
When should a kick off meeting take place for a large project?
At the end of the planning process, prior to beginning the project work (Execution)
5 levels of stakeholder engagement
unaware, resistant, neutral, supportive, leading
