Adjectives overview

Adjectives used in this way are predicates. There are two types of adjectives, い and な adjectives.
Present/ future tense, positive and negative conjugation rules for な adjectives.

Positive:
-です
Negative:
drop -な, add じゃ(では)ありませんです

How to use an adjective to modify a noun
Place the full version of the adjective directly before a noun.
青いぺんで書きました。
I wrote with a blue pen.
How to connect two statements about the same topic, one positive and one negative, with “but”.

Water is a little boring, but it is cheap.
How to say “very” and “not very” in regard to adjectives.

How to ask about what kind of thing, something is. How might you respond if asked the question?

Respond with just a simple answer.
e.g What kind of activity is running? A sport.

What sort of food is udon?
What phrase should you use to show that you are thinking before you reply to a question or statement.
