- Gestational age = refers to the length of pregnancy after the first day of the LMP
- Conceptual age = is the true fetal age and refers to the length of pregnancy from the time of conception
What is the formula to find gestational age?
GA = conceptual age + 2 weeks
Conceptus period
The 3rd to the 5th weeks since LMP

6th to end of 10th week since LMP
What does the embryonic period involve?
The completion of organogenesis
