Nautical Miles.
Unit of measurement for horizontal distances in aerodromes?
Metres.
Unit of measurement for vertical distances?
Feet.

What are the 3 different ways to measure an aircraft’s speed?
True airspeed, indicated airspeed and ground speed.
Unit of measurement for climbing speed?
Feet/minute, or sometimes metres/second. 200 feet/minute = 1 metre/second.
Units of measurement for direction? (2 answers)
Degrees magnetic, or degrees true.
Unit of measurement for visibility?
Metres up to 4,999m, and then km from that point onwards. >10km is just expressed as 10km.
Unit of measurement for air pressure?
Hectopascals (hPa) or inches of mercury, if you’re dealing with the US military.
Unit of measurement for temperature?
Degrees Celcius, or sometimes Kelvin.
Unit of measurement for weight?
Kilograms.
What should all times be given with reference to?
UTC (universal time coordinated).
