Can I send it to any lab I want?
No! Labs are audited and approved by each states OSA. Testing for NPIP participation, can only be done at NPIP approved laboratories.
How are the codes/requirements made or changed?

anyone take swabs or draw blood to send in?
NO! Currently only licensed veterinarians are allowed to collect samples for avian influenza (even routine monitoring samples.)
