interested in ensuring relationships are developed within the group
group members are envolved in making decisions
sympathetic approach
should use:
small groups
lots of time available
friendly groups
advanced performers
what is the laissez-faire leadership style and when should it be used
leader is more of a figurhead than an active leader
hands off approach
do very little
group members make all of the decisions
allows discovery but can lead to a lack of direction
should use:
if a problem solving approach is required
only effective with advanced performers
