bees can communicate,birds communicate:they dont have syntax - understand a setence having an order
great appes:chepanes are the closer to understan syntax still not as good as a human can

egocentric speech:
-reflection of children’s egocentric thinking
-monologues: running discourse
-Collective Monologues: when two individuals are speaking together but not for the purpose of each other
he also belived as they get older and get to the concrete stage they move to social speech(egocentric speech > social speech)
Vygotsky

-drives thinking(which is different to piaget who belived it was just a reflection of your thinking, not influencing your thinking like vygotsky belived)

-turn taking (young babies can do that)-gets better at time
-taking related turns(poor in early childhoof,but it improves steadly
-reparing miscommunication:
1-3 years old initially tend to repeat failed communication
#3-5 years old are more likely to repair failed communication throughout development,increse in giving/respoding to verbal and non-verbal feedback
