Facilitation and support
Listening to concerns of workforce will help workers adjust. Biz should also provide training
Negotiation and agreement
Giving stakeholders opportunities to negotiate and compromising on key sticking points can lead to full agreement. Financial/non-financial incentives offered.
Manipulation and Co-option
Give a resisting employee a desirable role in the process to gain cooperation. Risky as workers can feel tricked into agreeing. Manager may exaggerate.
Explicit and implicit coercion
Threaten resisting employees. Redundancy, losing promotion or transfer
