Critical Path Analysis Intro Flashcards
What are the circles called?
Nodes
What is at the top right of a node
Earliest start time of next activity
What is at the bottom left of a node
Latest finish time of previous activity
What does it mean if the LFT and EST is the same on a node
It is on the critical path
What is the critical path?
Tasks that if delayed, the whole project is delayed
What does the left side of the node show?
The number of the node
What does EST stand for?
Earliest start time
How to calculate EST?
Add the duration of previous activity to its EST
What does EFT stand for?
Earliest finish time
How to calculate EFT?
Add the activities duration to its EST
What does LFT stand for?
Latest finish time
How to calculate LFT?
The LFT of the Final node is equal to the EST of the final node. Then subtract the duration of the next activity from its LFT to work out the node before
What does LST mean?
Latest Start Time
How to calculate LST?
Subtract the duration of the activity from its LFT
What does float time mean
Spare time for an activity (only non-critical activities)
