1850 women campaigned against inequality - the suffrage movements aim was to get the vote

took more direct action smashed windows, heckled at meetings, chained to railings, set fire to post boxes, poured acid on golf courses
what happened in 1913
emily davison threw herself in front of the kings horse at the races and died
were the suffragets successful
made votes a nation issue but many thought them to extreme and lost support

1918 women over 30 wo owned property got vote by
