Q

What is the structural class of fibrous joints? + examples

A
  • fibrous connective tissue
  • joints are held in place therefore very strong

  • e.g. sutures, gomphosis

Q

What is the structural class of cartilaginous joints? + examples

A
  • hyaline cartilage of fibrocartilage tissue hold joint in place
  • weaker than fibrous, but more movement
  • e.g. joints between vertebrae, joints between 2 pelvic bones
