Indication

  • Avoid use more than 3 wks
  • Start with lowest effective dose
  • Taper slowly if longer use

ADEs

  • Daytime somnolence
  • Amnesia
  • Early morning insomnia
  • Daytime anxiety, confusion, sleep driving
  • Ataxia and falls in elderly
