Isn’t always objective, demand characteristics can make it subjective and less valid. For example, in thigpen&cleckley study where the therapist spends a lot of time with ew. Therefore, decreasing validity and reliability.

Q

Weakness of individual differences approach?

A

Based on concepts that aren’t observable so difficult to test, research can be open to bias! Seen in rosenhans study when it’s hard to test whether people are sane or insane. Therefore, the approach isn’t high in validity.
