Q

4 stages of inflammation

A
  1. Chemical signals released by macrophage and mast cells at injury site cause nearby capillaries to widen and become permeable and allow for blood to bring more leukocytes.
  2. fluid, antibacterial proteins and clotting elements move from blood to clotting site and CLOTTING BEGINS
  3. Chemokines released by various kinds of cells attract more phagocyte cells from blood to injury site
  4. Neutrophils and macrophage phagocytose pathogens and cell debris at site and the tissue heals
