- It is for unregulated job rules such as social care assistance
- Sets out I5 standards
- Enables care workers to provide safe and high quality care and support

A
- They carry out inspections rating child care settings and schools from ‘outstanding’ to ‘inadequate’, reports identity good practice and what needs improving
- Aspects inspected includes
-Effectiveness of leadership and management
-Quality of teaching, learning and assessment
-Personal development, behaviour and welfare (safeguarding)
-Outcomes for children and learners

A
- It registers and licences care services to ensure essential standards are met
- It carries out inspections to monitor that care continues to meet standards
- It publishes inspection reports that rate care settings from ‘outstanding’ to ‘inadequate’
- It can issue warning notices and fines if standards are met

A
- It assesses new drugs and treatments as they become available
- It provides evidence based guidelines on how particular conditions should be treated

- Nice considers where a drug or treatment:

-Will help the NHS meets its target
-Should be available on the NHS
