When does HND occur?
A
When a Rh -ve mother who had a baby with a Rh +ve man has another baby

If a Rh -ve mother and a Rh +ve man have a first baby and then a second, which baby will be affected by HND and why?
A
The second
As after the birth of the first baby, Rh+ve blood (as the baby will be Rh +ve) will mix with the mum’s Rh-ve blood so she will create Anti-Rh antibodies.
These antibodies will then attack the second baby.
