A

symmetrical ascending weakness
reduced reflexes
may be peripheral sensory loss or neuropathic pain
can progress to cranial nerves and cause facial weakness

A

Sx usually start 4wks after preceding infection
Sx peak within 2-4wks
recovery period can last months to years
