what happens
A
afferent signals (usual tigers = faecal impaction, urinary retention) cause sympathetic spinal reflex but the mediatory parasympathetic response is prevented by cord lesion
result is imbalance physiological response

A
extreme htn
flushing + sweating above level lesion
agitation

A
removal/gain control of stimulus
Rx htn/bradycardia
