Members question group structure and compete for status - arguments occur

Need for common goals is recognised
Members begin to work together

Each member is aware of their role within team - feels like they can contribute to succeess of team

The full capabilites of the group when they’re working together

The factors that can go wrong in team performance
There are 2 categories : co-ordination losses and motivation losses due to social loafing
What are co-ordination losses?
A breakdown in teamwork

What is motivational losses due to social loafing?
A withdrawel of effort by team members

A faulty process due to a breakdown in teamwork
When effectiveness of the team to operate as a group can’t be sustained
