derivative of minocycline that enhances ribosomal permeation and binding. it overcomes the efflux pump and ribosomal protection. lk

no its bacteriostatic because the interaction with the ribosome is reversible

what does this not treat
providencia, proteus, pseudomonas.
clinical uses
complicated skin infections and soft tissue, intra-abdominal, MDR infections (CRE),
what are the adverse affects
GI nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, increased LFTs,
what is this not used for?
bacteremia due to its tissue distribution, there is actually a low concentration in the serum.
