What is the mechanism of action of donepezil and memantine and when can they be used?
A
Donepezil - cholinesterase inhibitor for mild and moderate Alzheimer’s dementia and PD dementia targetting acetylcholine.
Memantine- NMDA antagonist and dopamine agonist for severe Alzheimer’s dementia.
?can also be used in Lewy body dementia
