Rectangle
Area=base x hieght
Circle
Area=pi x (radius squared)
Kite
Area=1/2 diagonal 1 x diagonal 2
Parallelogram
Area=base x hieght
Trapezoid
Area= 1/2 x (base 1 + base 2) x hieght
Triangle
Area= 1/2 base x hieght
Regular Polygon
Area= (number of sides) x (apothem) x (length of each side) over 2 Or Area= Perimeter x apothem over 2
Rectangular Prism
Surface Area= 2(length x width) x 2(width x height) x 2(length x height)
Not A=lwh
Cylinder
Surface Area= 2(pi)(radius squared) + 2(pi)(radius)(height)
Pyramid
Surface Area= 1/2 base x lateral height x number of triangles x Base
Note: Substitute formula for Base shape where Base is
Note: If true height is given, not lateral height, then use that and the apothem and the pythagorean theorem to find lateral height.
Cone
Surface Area= pi(radius squared) + pi(radius)(lateral height)
Sector
region between two radii and an arc
Area=arc measure/360 x pi(radius squared)
Segment
region between a chord and an arc of a circle
Area=(arc measure/360 x pi(radius squared)) - (1/2 chord length or base x height)
Annulus
region between two concentric circles
Area= pi(bigger Radius squared) - pi(smaller radius squared)
Square
Area=side squared
