What are can cause gastritis?

A

Drugs, alcohol, stress from medical or surgical illness, portal HTN

Less commonly ingestion and radiation

Gastritis is normally, asymptomatic, however what sx can occur?

A

Epigastric pain, N/V, upper GI bleeding w/ “coffee grounds” emesis

A

D/C NSAIDS
PPI 2-4 weeks (omeprazole 20-40mg)
