Closed by the pumps in normal operation, they allow engines to be fed by gravity if the wing tank pumps fail.

WHAT IS THE FUEL FEED SEQUENCE?

A

The inner tanks feed fuel to the engines.

  • 500kg of fuel used from inner tank then the centre tank fuel is drawn through the suction of the jet pumps
  • once inner tanks down to 750kg then the valves latch open allowing outer tanks to flow to the inner tanks.
