Q

What is the resultant force?

A

It is the overall force.

So if a box is pushed down with 50N and it is pushed up at 20N the resultant force would be - 30N down

Q

What is Gravity, and how many objects have it.

A

All objects have Gravity.
It attracts other objects to the center of the Earth.
The bigger the mass the bigger the Gravity.
The further the object is from the gravitational field the less you feel it.

Q

What happens if Weight….Upthrust

A

If weight is > (bigger than) upthrust sinks

If weight is = ( equal to) upthrust float

17
Q

3 non contact forces?

A

Electrostatic
Magnetic
Gravitational

18
Q

What pushes down boats

A

Weight

19
Q

What is down?

A

It is force pulling towards the center of the Earth

20
Q

Friction

A

Between 2 surfaces moving past each other
Rough surfaces have more friction so they slow objects down
Smooth surfaces have less friction
Opposes motion
