What are you looking for in the Nose Gear?
- CHOCKS IN unless connected to TUG
- Neither tire is worn
- Landing Light
- Oleo strut visible, no leaking fluids
- Black placard & Strap secured
- Gear & ADG pins removed
When to call MX for gear/ADG pin?
If resistance is felt when trying to remove
Gear Bay MX Light should be:
OFF
All service panel doors should be closed. If they are open, what should you do?
Contact MX to verify if they’d been working on something before closing.
What are we inspecting on the PAX DOOR?
- Pulleys, cables, and wheel.
- Emergency Light
Where is the Standby Pitot Probe?
LEFT Forward Fuselage under flight deck side windows.
Windshield wipers should be:
Centered in the off/park position
Where is the TAT Probe?
RIGHT Forward Fuselage under flight deck side windows.
The AOA Vanes, Pitot Static Probes, Ice Detectors, TAT Probe, and Alternate Static Ports should be:
- Unobstructed
- no damage
- no discoloration around the base
How many antennas are there to check when walking around the Right Fuselage? What are we checking for?
10 - checking if missing/damaged.
TOP (nose to wings):
TCAS, ATC 1, VHF 1, GPS 1 and 2
BOTTOM:
TCAS, ATC 2, VHF 2, DME 1, ADF
Where is the Galley Service Door and what are we checking?
Right FWD Fuselage
Secured/handle flush
Emergency light condition
What are we checking with over wing exits? (2 per wing)
Condition of both Emergency Lights.
Both doors on either side are flush with fuselage.
