Supplies Gluteus maximus & short lateral rotators of thigh

Branch of Internal iliac
Exits pelvis through greater sciatic foramen below piriformis m. & re-enters pelvis through lesser sciatic foramen
Supplies external genitalia
Femoral a.
External Iliac as it crosses under inguinal ligament
Gives off superficial circumflex iliac, superficial epigastric, external pudendal a., lateral femoral circumflex, medial femoral circumflex, & profunda femoris
Superficial epigastric a.
Branch of femoral a.
Crosses over inguinal canal & supplies skin over lower abdominal wall
Superficial circumflex iliac a.
Branch of femoral a.
Laterally inferior to inguinal ligament
