A
a change in characteristics of a species over several generations
2

A
Ardipithecus ramidus, Australopithecus afarensis, homo habius, homo erectus, homo sapiens
3
Q
how do fossils and stone tools support current ideas about human evolution?
A
as the oldest stone tools were very simple but would have helped with the skinning of an animal or cutting up meat
4
Q
how many years were the stone tools dated from their environment?

3.3 million years ago
5
Q
how had stone tools developed
A
stone tools have developed because as brain size increased, advancements in tools were made
6
Q
3 examples of fossil evidence (4.4,3.2,1.6)
A
- Ardi - 1.2m and 50kg, may be able to walk upright, long arms and big toes that were on the side of feet (able to climb trees)
- Lucy - 1.7m, could probably walk upright, toes were of modern human but very curved
- Homoerectus - 1.7m and strongly built. proved that humans evolved from Africa and not Asia
