Banquet Event Order (BEO)
BEO. A form most often used by hotels to provide details to personnel concerned with a specific food and beverage function or event room set-up. (Week 8)
Convention Services Manager (CSM)
CSM. Professional at a hotel, convention center or convention bureau who is responsible for event operations management on all levels. (Week 8)
Integrated Communication
seemless blend of messages so the organization develops a positive and similar image across stakeholder groups (Week 8)
Post-Event Report (PER)
PER. The industry preferred term for a report of the details and activities of an event. A collection of post event reports over time will provide a comprehensive history for an event. The industry accepted practice is to use the APEX Post-Event Report format, which can be found at the Convention Industry Council web site. (Week 8)
Pre-Conference Meeting
A meeting at the primary facility at which an event will take place just prior to the event beginning. Attendees generally include the primary event organizer, representatives of the event organizer/host organization, department heads of the facility, other facility staff as appropriate and contractors. (Week 8)
After-Action Review (AAR)
A structured review or debrief process for analyzing what happened, why it happened, and how it can be done better by the participants and those responsible for the project or event. (Week 8)
Aggregate Results
Data formed by the compilation or collection of information about a meeting in order to evaluate its success or identify areas for improvement. (Week 8)
Communication Flow
A description of the manner in which content or information flows between the instructor, speaker or facilitator and the attendees and/or learners (Week 8)
Daily Onsite Meeting
A time each day for the meeting/event staff to review the activities of the day, identify any issues that need to be addressed and discuss any changes for the following day, used typically for multi-day meetings/events. (Week 8)

In-House Provider
Contractor retained by a facility to be on-site and provide services as needed, sometimes on an exclusive basis. In some cases, Planners are not required to use their services, but may be charged a surcharge or facility fee for bringing in an outside contractor for the same service. See EXCLUSIVE CONTRACTOR. Logistics Provider
companies who manage the movement of materials from location to location in a timely fashion (Week 8)

Non-Exclusive or Discretionary Provider
Services provider at an exhibition hired at the discretion of the organizer or exhibitor (Week 8)
Official Services Contractor (OSC)
Organization appointed by show management to provide services such as set-up and tear-down of exhibit booths and to oversee labor, material handling and loading dock procedures. Also known as GENERAL SERVICE CONTRACTOR. (Week 8)
