  3. imperfect vs conditional - past tense “would” situations use imperfect (these aren’t hypothetical situations; they actually happened)

  1. to have something for breakfast/lunch/dinner - use desayunar/almorzar/cenar
  2. to be done with - acabar is the best verb to use (as opposed to terminar)
  3. to depend on - depender de
  4. to look for something - buscar (por/para not needed)
  5. to work for a certain employer - use para (but por is used if you are working for someone who is sick that day)
  6. sequential then - use después (not entonces) (entonces used to translate “then” in other contexts as well as “therefore” and “so”)
  7. like that - así
