-moderate to severe pain
-procedural sedation including intubation

-known hypersensitivity
-head injury
-decreased level of consciousness
-respiratory depression
-hemodynamically significant hypotension

-CNS depression
-respiratory depression
-respiratory arrest
-hypotension
-bradycardia

-dsyrhythmias
-syncope

-duration of drug is 30-60 mins
-100mcg of the drug is equivalent to 10mg morphine
