Q

Epinephrine

Mechanism of Action

A

-Alpha-adrenergic response: vasoconstriction
-Beta 1 adrenergic responses: increase heart rate, increase myocardial contractility
-Beta 2 adrenergic response: relaxes bronchial smooth muscle resulting in bronchodilation
-blocks histamine receptors
