C (compression): 30 compressions
Then Defib
Overview: Secondary Survey

Overview expanded
Vital Sign inspection, Immediate care (PRICE), and splinting techniques
Immediate Care: PRICE
Primary Survey (on-field)
assessing life threatening issues
assessment of level of consciousness, AVPU (alert, non-responsive to verbal or painful stimuli, and unresponsive/unconscious)
On-Field Assessment
- Seriousness of the injury
- Type of first aid and immobilization
- immediate referral to a physician for the further assessment

Off-Field Assessment
made once athlete is stabilized
HOPS - History, Observation, Palpation, Special tests
History = past injuries and risk factors
Observation = compare limbs, bruising and bleeding
Palpation = feeling for abnormalities or pain
Special Test = MRI, broken bones or different evaluations
Removing an athlete
