Oxygen
25 liters, Liquid Oxygen (LOX)
Oxygen Regulators
10 diluter-demand automatic pressure breathing regulators
Shut Off Valve –Aft right side of the FS245 bulkhead
Portable Oxygen Bottles
Four, ~30min supply, refillable from the aircraft system.
Emergency Passenger Oxygen (EPOS)
Approximately 5min of emergency oxygen inside a plastic hood. Normally 10 are inside an orange case in the SAR bin, more can be added for passenger flights.
Emergency Exit Lights
8 portable battery-operated, aircraft rechargeable lights located near each exit. Activated with a decelerating force exceeding 2 Gs, or essential DC bus power failure.
Emergency Escape Hatch/ Rope
3 overhead hatches, with ropes secured to the aircraft
First Aid Kits
Ten, two on the flight deck and eight in various locations within the cargo compartment
Emergency Escape Door
One inward opening hatch on each side of the cargo compartment forward of the propeller arc.
Handheld Fire Extinguishers
Four halon, hand-operated, trigger type.
Liferaft Release handles
Six, two on the flight station, two near the head and one on top of each wing
Liferaft
Two, 20-man, yellow with orange detachable canopy and survival gear; stored in center-wing compartments
Hand Axes
Two, used at chop points above the paratroop doors
Survival Vests
Twelve, on the right side of the cargo compartment forward of the wing root
Anti-Exposure Suits
Twelve, six located behind each of the aft section paratroop seats.
Emergency Locator Transmitter (ELT)
Transmits on 121.5, 243, for 50-70hr’s and 406.025 for 25hr’s
