- Group of purtians who couldn’t follow the act of uniformity 1559 since they felt that that i had too many catholic practice in particular with the clerical dressing which they considered as supersitiuous
- Archibishop Parker issued in 1566 which required clergy to follow one form of rites and manners, the clergy whcih refused were dismissed of their post showcasing the extent which elizabeth would go to enfore her settlement
