Ecg Flashcards
Learn the classification of ECG pathology
1
Q
Right bundle branch block
A
- Due to the abnormal pathway of deplorisation the right ventricle has to wait to be deplorised through the septum of the left ventricle. This leads to the first criteria a normal begining part of the qrs complex and then followed by another r wave. This leaves an RR pattern that looks like an M on the anterior leads… v1-v3
- Next another finding is on the lateral leads I, avL, and v5 and V6 there is slurring of the S wave.
2
Q
What is the normal QTc?
A
350-450
3
Q
transmural infarct will cause what pattern on the ECG
A
ST elevation
4
Q
posterior infarct
A
V1-V3 ST depression
5
Q
what are the ECG changes that you will see after patient presents with MI after 7 days
A
- tall tented T waves
- ST elevation
- T wave inversion
- Q wave formation within days and remaining permanently
6
Q
WELLS criteria for PE
A
D dimer less than 500 98% certain not have Pe
D Dimer greater than 500 PE suspected get a CTPA
7
Q
ECG finding expected in a patient with heart failure
A
pathological Q waves or a bundle branch block suggesting a previous full thickness MI
