What is the difference between superficial and deep dyspareunia?
A
- Superficial - pain at the start of sex, struggle to have sex
- Deep - pain there during/after sex, can still have sex

What are the causes of superficial dyspareunia?
A
- Infection - ulceration, discharge, thrush
- Vaginal dryness - oestrogen deficiency, lack of sexual stimulation
- Vaginismus
- Female genital mutilation

A
Endometriosis, pelvic infection
