What is the dietary guideline
The dietary guideline is to help people make choices when they are deciding what to eat these are shown on the eat well guide
what kind of guidelines are there
- base on meals on starchy foods
- eat a lot of fruit and veg
- eat more fish
- Cut down on saturated fat and sugar
- eat less salt no more than 6g a day
- get active and be a healthy weight
- don’t get thirsty so drink plenty of water
- don’t skip breakfast

what does the eat well guide recommend
The eatwell guide recommends that sweet salty and fatty food such as crisps chips and cakes should be eaten less often and a small amounts
it also recommends that people should drink 6 to 8 cups or glasses of fluid a day
and that people should check nutritional labels or package foods and choose foods lower fat salt and sugars
how do you plan balance meals
