This can cause a persons blood glucose levels to become dangerously high.
Being overweight can increase the likelyhood of the disease developing in the patient
How does the disease effect someones lifestyle
When diagnosed the patient is encouraged to radically change parts of their lifestyle . Their diet will be monitored limiting the digestion of simple carbohydrates . The patient will be encouraged to exercise more often to help remove excess glucose from the blood.

Can severely damage kidneys , nerves and contribute to loss of sight. The disease also increases the risks of heart disease and stroke
What are the symptoms of the disease
Symptoms include
Increased thirst and hunger , fatigue and weakness , loss of sight , numbness due to nerve damage .
What is the treatment of the disease
For type one diabetes . The patient goes through insulin therapy to prevent there blood glucose levels from rocketing . The amount of insulin taken with each patient is different as it depends on how active the patient is and their diet
For type two diabetes you will be given a long string of medications and a recommended diet . Insulin is usually not provided as it proves ineffective. Howver the patient is encouraged to exercise frequently to help reduce glucose in the bloodstream .
Can it be cured
No the disease cannot be cured yet. However it can go into a type of remission. Where the body does not show the symptoms related to the disease however it is sill there .
Experimental treatments
Stem cells are used to replace faulty insulin producing cells within the pancreas however due to the damage of the pancreas it can be extremely difficult to replace every single one of these cells
