Q

How does lithography work?

A
  1. Printing plate has image printed on its surface
  2. Printing plate kept dampened. Ink applied to plate but is repelled from dampened surfaces (non-image areas)
  3. As cylinder rotates , ink is transferred to rubber blanket cylinder.
  4. Ink is now pressed on to the paper/card as it is pulled through the machine.
