Q

what is the difference between subendocardial and transmural infarction?

A
  • when the thrombus disintegrates before complete tissue necrosis it only affects the endocardium
  • if the thrombus is stuck in the blood vessel then there is tissue necrosis that extends through the myocaridum from the endocardium to the epicardium
