- regurg and vomiting
- diarrhoea
- urticaria, atopi ceczema
- colic symptoma-irritability,crying
- wheeze, chronic cough
- rarely angioemda or anaphylaxis
diagnosis of cows milk portein intolerance/allergy3
- usually clinical
- skin prick/patch testing
- total IgE and specic IgE (RAST) for cows milk protein
specific IgE for cows milk portein intolerance/allergy

management of cows milk portein intolerance/allergy in formula fed babies with mild-moderate syx 1
extensive hydrolysed formula
management of cows milk portein intolerance/allergy in formula fed babies with severe syx or no response to extensive hydrolysed formula

consider prescribing calcium supplements to mothers to prevent defiecny (for both mother and baby)

-until 12 months oif age and at least for 6 months
