Why is there a North and South Korea?
After WW2, soviets influenced north and made it communist. Southern half avoided this
What was the Korean War about? what was result?
North invading south in attempt to unift in communism. UN led by US fought for the south (anti-communist) CCease fire declared in 1953. ongoing.
3 indochina wars
1st: indochina wanted independence from france, and they got it! 1946-54
2nd: defeated USA, and North vietnam unified with south vietnam
3rd: mostly about defeating Khmer Rouge in cambodia.
What was the Vietnam War about? Who won?
1957-75 Containment. North communist, South democratic. Us became more and more involved. north won and vietnma became united communist country. communism was a factor, vietnamese mostly wanted indpendence. o
