ABL proto-oncogene from chromosome 9 being fused with the BCR gene from chromosome 22.
BCR-ABL gene codes for a fusion protein that has excess tyrosine kinase activity

A
- anaemia: lethargy
- weight loss and sweating
- splenomegaly
