Chapter 9 Flashcards
They were saying: This is the prophet Jesus…’
At that time Herod heard….
This was the place.
The sheep of these people are dead.
The whole crowd was listening.
He is speaking in those parables.
His prophets are coming.
These disciples are blind.
I am speaking to her.
The lord saves himself.
His disciples were speaking.
The same Lord saves the people.
The lord himself saves the people.
And other boats were with him.
They were saying to one another.
They are denying themselves.
I love that disciple.
She is gathering the sheep.
He used to teach in other parables.
On the same day Mary saw the Lord.
Because of these things the crowd were saying to one another.
Jesus himself was praying.
He was a servant of this temple.
We are praying to the same God.
Peter himself denied Jesus.
They began to listen after this.
Those demons were evil.
Your law saves.
God saves you.
We believed, but you did not listen.
You will save yourself, but I (will save) others.
Save yourself!
I will proclaim your deeds.
I Paul tell you…
Save me from this hour.
he said to him…’do you love me?’… and he said to him, ‘Lord… you know that I love you.’
Because he healed many
because you are our glory and joy.
Each of you says, ‘I am Paul’s, I am Apollos’, I am Cephas’, I am Christ’s’
And some were with the Jews but others were with the apostles.
Consider yourselves to be (on the one hand) dead to sin but (on the other hand) alive to God.
The son of man is lord even over the Sabbath.
(Which) Jesus began both to do and to teach.
Many believed because (for) the disciples were proclaiming the good news.
God sent the prophets, but the people were blind.
ὁ θεος φιλει και τους πονηρους;
Does God love even the evil people?
Joseph is speaking to him, but he (the other one) will not listen.
Some are approaching, others are departing for their homes.
Therefore we will seek the lord.
But as for Jesus (Jesus himself), he did not entrust (trust) himself to them.
And he as saying to them, ‘you are of this world; I am not of this world.’
And with/in many such parables he was speaking the word to them.
They go again to Jerusalem. And Jesus is walking in the temple and the Jews are coming to him.
ἐλεγον οὐν οἱ Ἰουδαιοι προς ἑαυτους. Που οὑτος μελλει ἐρχεσθαι;
Therefore the Jews were saying to themselves, ‘Where is this man about to go?’
We are from God and the whole world is in (under the power of) the evil one.
And he was saying to them, ‘To you I teach the mystery of the kingdom of God; but to them outside, I say these things in parables.’
For John was saying to Herod, “It is not lawful for you to have your brother’s wife.’
This is my commandment: Have love for one another, because you are my disciples.
I am the bread of life.
Jesus says to them, ‘I do not tell you by what authority I am doing these things.’
Having received his sight, he was saying, ‘I see people, but they are walking about like trees.’
I saw those people.
He will begin these things.
ἐζητουν οὐν τον Ἰησουν και ἐλεγον μετ᾽ἀλληλων ἐν τῳ ἱερῳ· Πως ποιει ταυτα;
Therefore, they were seeking Jesus and they were saying to one another in the temple; “How is he doing these things?”
There is joy in us because of your love and also mine.
For, on the one hand Sadducees are saying there is no life after death, nor angels, but on the other hand Pharisees are teaching these things.
And I say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock, I will build my church.
They were crying out in a loud voice saying: “holy is the lamb”.
And he was saying; “I do not wish this cup, but you wish this, therefore I will receive it”.
Even if there are other gods whether in heaven or on earth, to us there is one God and indeed this is the Lord of heaven and earth; so him we will worship.
Then having summoned him, his Lord said to him, “evil slave, I will do this to you, since you have requested me (to)”
The Pharisees therefore were saying to him, ‘You are bearing witness about yourself’.
The whole earth exists for his glory, so we bless him and give thanks.
If I cast out demons by the authority of God, the reign of God is with you (upon you).
On the one hand, you come together with one another, on the other hand, you persecute one another.
