ἀπο τοτε ἠρξατο ὁ Ἰησους κηρυσσειν και λεγειν· Μετανοειτε· προσερχεται ἡ βασιλεια των οὐρανων.
From then Jesus began to preach and say, ‘repent! The kingdom of heaven is approaching.

ἐλεγεν ἐν παραβολῃ αὐτοις. Δει παντοτε προσευχεσθαι.
He was telling them in a parable: ‘It is necessary to pray at all times (always)’.

και ὁ ὀχλος ἐζητουν ἀπτεσθαι αὐτου· σημεια ἐξουσιας παρ’ αὐτου ἐξηρχετο.
And the crowd was seeking to touch him; signs of authority were coming out from him.

ὁ Ἰωαννης ἐσται μεγας ἐνωπιον του κυριου ὡς ὁ Ἠλιας· ἀλλ’ ὁ Ἠρῳδης πονηρος.
John will be great before the Lord, like Elijah; but Herod is (will be) evil.

μελλει ὁ υἱος του ἀνθρωπου ἐρχεσθαι ἐν τῃ δοξῃ του θεου μετα των ἀγγελων αὑτου, και τοτε δεξεται ἑκαστος κατα την ζωην αὐτου.
The son of man is about to come in the glory of God with his angels, and then each person will receive according to his life.

ἐλεγεν προς τους μαθητας· Εἰ θελετε ὀπισω του υἱου του ἀνθρωπου ἐρχεσθαι, ἀρνησασθε τον Σανταναν και ἀκολοθειτε τῳ κυριῳ καθ’ ἠμεραν.
He was saying to the disciples; ‘If you wish to come after the son of man, deny Satan and follow the lord daily.

ὁ οἰκος (του) Ἰουδα προσηυξατο· Κυριε, ῥυσαι τον Ἰσραηλ ἐξ της Αἰγυπτου.
The house of Judah prayed, ‘Lord, rescue Israel from Egypt!

ὁ Ἠλιας ἠν μεγας προφητης.
Elijah was a great prophet.

ἀπηρχοντο ἀπο της συναγωγης ὁτε ἐἰσηρχομεθα.
They were going away from the synagogue when we were going in.

ὁ Βαρναβας και ὁ Παυλος εὐηγγελιζοντο ἐν τῃ ὁδῳ ἀπο ἱεροσολθμων μετα των πιστων μαθητων (συν τοις πιστοις μαθηταις).
Barnabas and Paul were proclaiming good news on the road from Jerusalem with the faithful disciples.

οἱ προφηται ἐκηρυξαν· Ἐκ της καρδιας ἐξερχεται πονηρα και ἀγαθα.
The prophets preached; out of the hearts goes evil and good things.

δει διερχεσθαι δια της ἐρημου συν τοις στρατιωταις.
It is necessary to cross over through the wilderness with the soldiers.

ἡ ἀγαπη κακον οὐκ ἐργαζεται· ἡ μεγαλη ἐντολη ἐστιν ἀγαπεη.
Love is not working evil (bad); The great commandment is love.

Ἀσποζονται ἐν κυριῳ Βαρναβας και Ἰουδας οἱ μαθηται τας ἐκκλησιας ης Ἰερουσαλημ.
Greet in the Lord Barnabas and Judas, the disciples from the churches of Jerusalem.

λεγει προς τον ἀγγελον· Πως ἐσται;
He is saying to the angels; ‘How will it be?’

ὁτε ἠμην τεκνον, ἐλαλουν ὡς τεκνον, ἐλογιζομεν ὡς τεκνον.
When I was a child, I was speaking like a child, we were thinking like a child.

ἀλλα ἐρχεται ὡρα και νυν ἐστιν, ὁτε οἱ μαθηται χαρᾳ προσκυνησουσιν τῳ κυριῳ, ὡς αὐτους ζητει και προσκαλειται ὁ θεος.
But the hour is coming and now is: when the disciples will worship the Lord in joy, as God seeks and summons them.

ῥυσῃ ἀνθρωπον ἁμαρτιας ἐκ του θανατου του αἰωνιου;
Will you rescue sinful people from eternal death?

ὁ Ἰωαννης ἠν ἀδελφος και μαθητης.
John was a brother and disciple.

οἱ στρατιωται του Ἠρῳδου παρερχονται (ἐπι) ἐν τῃ ὁδῳ.
The soldiers of Herod are passing on the road.

θελετε εἰσερχεσθαι εἰς την ἐκκλεσιαν ἠ ἐιναι μονοι;
Do you wish to go into church or to be alone?

δια τον Ἠρῳδην, ὁ Ἰωσηφ και ἡ Μαρια ἠρχουτο (παρηεχοντο) παρα την θαλασσαν ἐν τῃ ὁδῳ προς την Ἀλβυπτον μετα του τεκνου Ἰησου.
Because of Herod, Joseph and Mary were going along the sea on the road to Egypt with the child Jesus.
